United Way Niagara launching its first ever Community-Wide 50/50 Raffle

In an effort to help reach the ambitious $5 million 2025 Campaign goal, United Way Niagara is excited to announce the inaugural Community 50/50 Raffle.

Ticket funds from the raffle will directly support local agencies that are helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community address the challenges they’re facing. The grand prize is 50 per cent of the 50/50 jackpot.

Local social issues persist within our community, and as United Way continues its mission to improve lives, the fundraising team is exploring new ways to engage local communities and raise funds for those in need.

“United Way exists to ensure the programs people rely on continue running,” says Frances Hallworth, CEO of United Way Niagara. “Our team is always looking for new avenues to raise funds and awareness, because when someone needs food, shelter, mental health support or safety, they should have access to help when they need it.”

The deadline for 50/50 ticket purchases is Tuesday, December 30, 2025 with the draw taking place the following day on Wednesday, December 31. There’s also an Early Bird Prize drawing on November 28, 2025 for a Forty Creek Whisky Tasting for 12.
