Imagine the power that consistent monthly support can provide, strengthening the foundations of our community, every month, fueling our mission day in and day out.

When you become a monthly donor, you're helping us provide a reliable source of funding that addresses local issues like mental health, social isolation and addiction, housing and homelessness, hunger and food insecurity, child and youth success, poverty, and gender-based violence in communities across the Niagara Region.

United Way Niagara’s Monthly Giving Program offers a powerful way for you to make a consistent and lasting impact that will help us ensure everyone in every community has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Affordable and Flexible: You can choose your monthly gift to start as low as 33₵ a day ($10/month) and you will receive one gift receipt at the end of the year for tax purposes.

Convenient: Set the gift amount of $10 or more per month and your contribution will be automatically processed each month from your credit card or bank account. You have the flexibility to make changes to your monthly gift including amount changes, changes to your method of payment, pausing or cancelling your gift by calling 905-688-5050.

Join a network of generous community leaders making a significant impact. Leadership Giving ($1,200+) and Major Giving ($5,000+) provide direct support to essential programs, driving long-term solutions to local challenges.

Named Funds provide a steady, long-term impact by supporting United Way’s mission in areas that matter most to you.

Current Named Funds

Burke Family Education Fund – Supports scholarships for youth in the After-School Matters program pursuing post-secondary education.

Orazio (Ernie) DePetris Fund – Provides funding for youth programs in Merritton.

Our Special Friends Fund – Supports sports and recreation programs for individuals with special needs.

Making a gift of publicly traded securities is one of the most tax-effective ways to donate because it removes the taxation of capital gains. You will receive a tax receipt for the market value of your donations.

Leadership Challenge

New Leadership Gifts of $1,200+ and current leadership donors that increase their current donation by 10% or more are matched , leveraging up to $50,000 in matching funds for United Way.

New Donor Match

First-time donors have their gifts matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of their support. (Note: Designations to specific charities do not qualify.)

Friendship Challenge

The Friendship Challenge is a match of $500 – $1,199 that helps leverage Friend of the Way level gifts for the campaign. For donors giving at the friend level for the first time ($500-$1,199), the Friendship Challenge will provide up to the specified amount in matching funds to United Way.

United Way Niagara is a leader in partnering with local businesses, helping them achieve their philanthropic goals. Sponsorships range from $150 – $100,000, to fit in any philanthropic budget. We welcome the opportunity to discuss sponsorships with you.

Turn your vehicle into meaningful change! Through our Donate a Car program, your old car, truck, RV, or boat can be transformed into support for vital programs across Niagara.

United Way Niagara is partnered with Donate a Car Canada to accept your vehicle donation! You will be provided free towing, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation.

Help fund targeted community programs that address urgent local needs. You can sponsor a Welcome Home Kit packing party or a Hygiene Kit packing party, your sponsorship directly benefits impactful initiatives.

Minimum investment required: $1,500 ($250 per person)
