211

What is 211?

211 is an award-winning telephone help line and website that serves as a gateway to community, social, non-clinical health, and government services. 211 helps people navigate the complex network of human services quickly, easily, and for free. It is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and in over 150 languages.

United Way is proud to be a founding partner of 211 in Canada.

As part of our efforts to improve access to social and health-related supports and services, we are also proud to invest in 211 locally, delivered through our service partner, 211Ontario. On October 15, United Way Centraide Canada announced the expansion of 211 across the country through an investment from the Emergency Community Support Fund by the Government of Canada. 211 service is now accessible in all provinces and territories.
